Department Second Produce - Full Time

About the Role

This full-time position is based at the Tantallon Sobeys location in Nova Scotia, Canada. As the Department Second Produce, you will support daily operations, contribute to excellent customer service, and help lead the Produce Department in the manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and professional customer service tailored to customer needs.
• Oversee produce department staff when the manager is unavailable.
• Foster a coaching culture that encourages employee development.
• Complete and fulfill customer produce orders accurately.
• Receive and inspect produce deliveries.
• Prepare produce daily to maintain freshness and presentation.
• Merchandise produce effectively to attract customers.
• Implement SMART retailing strategies as per Atlantic standards.
• Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
• Follow and enforce all company operational policies and standards.
• Perform administrative tasks as necessary to support the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience working in a relevant environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational credential.
• Ability to thrive independently within a fast-paced retail setting.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated good work ethic and ability to multitask efficiently.

Compensation and Additional Information

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $17.00 to $21.80 per hour, with pay reflecting experience, skills, location, and market conditions.
