Role Overview

The Deli Assistant position involves preparing both hot and cold deli products of superior quality while maintaining customer satisfaction as the primary focus.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Preferably has HACCP training, though it is not mandatory
• Strong communication abilities
• Previous experience in customer service is beneficial
• Skilled at teamwork within fast-paced environments and capable of multitasking under pressure
• Possesses enthusiasm for food and can engage shoppers effectively

Key Responsibilities

• Embody the Centra brand values: pride, energy, creativity, and community focus
• Prepare customer orders in all fresh food sections, including making sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats following store portion control standards
• Cook, prepare, and present food products throughout operating hours
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards for all fresh food counter displays consistently
• Express passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally, adhering to store policies
