About the Role
The Datapay Consultant acts as a dedicated support expert for Datapay Direct clients, ensuring optimal use and performance of the payroll software.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional technical assistance, resolving issues and guiding clients through software configurations, updates, and enhancements.
- Function as the main contact for clients requiring help with payroll software via telephone, email, or ticket systems, addressing concerns involving payroll computations, tax calculations, reporting, and systems integration.
- Support clients in software setup, upgrades, and customizations to improve overall functionality.
- Accurately document all client interactions and troubleshooting activities within the support tracking system.
- Work closely with internal departments like Development and Product Management to escalate complex problems and help improve the product.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies by exercising caution to avoid risk to self and others, and promptly report incidents or unsafe practices following company procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Have 2 to 3 years' experience in technical support, ideally within payroll software or a related sector.
- Possess a solid grasp of payroll workflows, tax laws, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrate strong skills in identifying and troubleshooting software issues, including proficiency with debugging tools and methods.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical information clearly to clients with diverse technical expertise.
- Show strong customer service dedication and a commitment to delivering a high-quality support experience.
- Be comfortable working both autonomously and within a team in a fast-moving environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Datapay payroll software is preferred but not required.
