Position Overview

This contract role invites data science experts to join the Mercor Talent Network, working remotely to provide high-quality evaluations on AI-related deliverables. Compensation ranges between $100 and $150 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Develop precise, task-specific grading criteria for evaluating data science outputs including exploratory data analysis, statistical models, machine learning workflows, and A/B testing documentation.
Assess both AI-generated and human-produced work against the predefined standards to ensure consistent quality.
Provide comprehensive written explanations justifying the evaluation scores to promote transparency and accountability.
Employ consistent, evidence-supported judgment ensuring assessment reproducibility and defendability.
Incorporate feedback from senior reviewers, iterating on work submissions for continuous improvement.
Operate independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and contribute towards enhancing AI model performance.

Required Qualifications

At least one year of professional experience in data science.
Background working within leading technology companies, research institutions, or quantitative firms.
Proficiency in Python programming, SQL querying, statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
Strong written communication skills.
Attention to detail with a reliable and methodical approach to evaluating complex data science tasks.
Openness to feedback and ability to align assessments with established standards.
