Data Center Operations Engineer (Graduate Program)

About the Role

A leading global cloud service provider in Singapore is seeking recent graduates who are passionate and motivated to develop their skills within a dynamic data center environment. This graduate program places you within the operations and maintenance division of the data center, offering hands-on exposure to large-scale infrastructure, asset management, and security systems to guarantee consistent and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document standard operational procedures for facilities, IT infrastructure, asset oversight, and security for cutting-edge data centers.
• Adopt and leverage innovative operations and maintenance solutions, focusing on digitization, automation, and intelligent workflows.
• Implement and monitor compliance with set protocols related to incidents, problem resolution, planned changes, risk management, equipment maintenance, and staff conduct to meet operational KPIs.
• Facilitate communication and cooperation both internally and externally to maximize resource efficiency, support organizational objectives, and uphold customer SLA commitments.
• Uphold the overall safety, operational stability, and performance efficiency across all data center activities.
• Participate in research, infrastructure planning, solution engineering, construction, and rollout activities involving energy systems, building management, power equipment, HVAC, monitoring, networking, and server platforms.
• Track the progression of technologies relevant to data centers and provide input to ensure the continual evolution and competitiveness of the organization’s infrastructure.

Candidate Requirements

• Thorough understanding of computer systems (both software and hardware), IT fundamentals, and foundational network architectures.
• Demonstrated ability in data analytics and data mining.
• Strong willingness to learn, a keen interest in new technologies, and the flexibility to adapt to rapid changes.
• Effective communication skills, the capacity to work collaboratively in teams, strong independence in solving problems.
• Professional fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English, or proficiency in another locally relevant language.
• Previous internships or significant academic projects in cloud computing or data centers are considered advantageous.
