Role Overview

The Data Analyst - Operations & Performance functions as a strategic analytics collaborator within the Operations team, supporting leadership to better comprehend performance, recognize areas for enhancement, and base decisions on data insights. The role involves spotting measurement gaps, defining significant KPIs, and proactively creating dashboards, scorecards, and reports that enhance operational efficiency. It demands attentive listening to operation challenges, converting business requirements into scalable analytics, and anticipating analytic needs preemptively. The analyst acts as a trusted consultant to Operations leaders, transforming data into actionable insights to boost efficiency, quality, and overall organizational performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify proactively any measurement deficiencies in operations and propose analytical solutions to increase insight into performance and outcomes.
• Convert unclear business inquiries into structured analytical models and reporting mechanisms delivering actionable intelligence.
• Develop and maintain self-service reporting tools enabling operational stakeholders to independently access and utilize data.
• Analyze operational trends, diagnose root causes, and suggest improvements to efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.
• Create and upkeep dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations facilitating organization-wide data-driven decisions.
• Define and maintain KPIs and operational metrics aligned with corporate goals to support continuous performance monitoring.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure high accuracy and dependability of analytical outputs.
• Consistently apply data governance, security standards, and best practices in reporting.

Qualifications

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or operational analytics.
• Proven track record collaborating with business and operational leaders to understand challenges, detect measurement voids, and craft data-driven improvements.
• Experience establishing KPIs, operational scorecards, performance measurements, and reporting frameworks that encourage accountability and ongoing enhancement.
• Strong ability to transform vague business questions into clear analytical insights and scalable reporting tools, with experience proactively suggesting ways to enhance operational visibility.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience using Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools; experience within healthcare, payer, provider, or claims analytics environments is strongly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and root-cause analysis capabilities alongside strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills to elicit business requirements effectively.
• Effective communicator of complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
• Advanced skills in SQL for analyzing, transforming, and validating complex datasets; familiarity with Python (PySpark) is advantageous.
• Experience in designing interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or equivalent platforms.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (advanced), MS SQL Server Management Studio, Databricks, and MS Power BI; knowledge of Azure DevOps and Tableau is a bonus.

Location and Working Model

OncoHealth supports remote, hybrid, or onsite work settings. Most staff work remotely or in hybrid mode, with offices located in Atlanta, GA and Guaynabo, PR. The company welcomes applicants nationwide primarily operating in Eastern and Central US time zones.
