Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and insightful Data Analyst to join our team remotely from Winnipeg, Canada. This full-time position is vital for converting extensive data into meaningful business insights, directly impacting how we enhance financial planning and analysis services for clients. Your duties will include analyzing vast datasets, preparing reports, and recognizing patterns to influence crucial business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data applying statistical techniques to generate ongoing reports.
- Design and implement databases, data collection systems, analytics, and other strategies to improve statistical efficiency and quality.
- Obtain data from primary and secondary sources and maintain relevant databases.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information requirements.
- Create clear and engaging data visualizations and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all reports and analyses.
- Collaborate with finance and product teams to identify data-driven business opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Proficient with reporting tools, databases including SQL, and programming languages such as XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks.
- Technical knowledge in data modeling, database design, data mining, and segmentation.
- Excellent analytical capabilities to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant data accurately and with attention to detail.
- Skilled in query writing, report generation, and presenting analytical results.
- Experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau is a strong asset.
- Educational background in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or similar fields.
- Understanding of financial planning and analysis concepts (FP&A) is advantageous.
