Role Overview

We are seeking a Credit Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in New Zealand on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027. Located in Manukau with plans to move to Auckland CBD offices in November, this role provides an exciting chance to work with renowned global beverage and spirits brands. You will oversee a diverse customer portfolio, ensuring credit risk mitigation and supporting steady cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts to secure timely payments within agreed trade terms.
• Monitor aged debt and meet collection targets across various aging periods.
• Handle accounts on hold and proactively reduce credit risk.
• Review and approve new credit applications following company policies.
• Generate overdue debt reports and assist in collection strategies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers while applying a firm, professional collections approach.
• Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, and Finance teams across Australia and New Zealand.
• Escalate overdue accounts as necessary and manage collection processes to resolution.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit team.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Collections, or related finance functions.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume customer ledgers efficiently.
• Strong skills in reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Competent in using Excel at an intermediate level.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Highly organized with aptitude for managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Proactive in problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.
• Confident in engaging in commercial conversations while maintaining customer rapport.

Exposure to FMCG, beverage, wholesale distribution, or liquor sectors is advantageous, along with experience using SAP systems.
