Job description
Job Overview
This role involves providing polite and efficient pickup and delivery of shipments along designated routes, ensuring all packages meet company service standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Possession of a valid driving license with a clean driving record (Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]); candidates must have two or fewer violations/accidents in the last 24 months.
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs manually and to handle items up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer-oriented business environment preferred.
- Completion of pre-placement driver assessment training with minimum performance standards met.
- Familiarity with company operations and Canadian Customs regulations is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent customer service capabilities.
- Ability to multitask, cope with stress, and perform under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including holidays as per business needs.
- For Quebec residents, bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
Work Schedule
The position has a preferred shift from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Additional Information
The hiring process includes thorough evaluation of driver's records, interview performance, and competency assessments. Candidates must be able to operate Windows-based PCs and complete all required trainings and certifications, including annual recurrences. The role may require varying shifts depending on operational demands.
