Role Overview
The Contingent Labour Office (CLO) at KPMG ensures streamlined, customer-focused facilitation of engaging external resources while balancing the firm's commercial and risk considerations. The COB team leverages internal experts and current market knowledge to guide and partner with business units to achieve optimal workforce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advisory support and guidance to Hiring Managers during the entire contract lifecycle, including onboarding, management, renewals, and offboarding of external resources across all Canadian locations.
- Apply subject-matter expertise to recommend creative and compliant resource engagement solutions.
- Collaborate actively with Hiring Managers and stakeholders to build strong relationships and anticipate needs with a service-oriented approach.
- Manage case intake by facilitating discussions with senior management; provide training for vendor management system usage.
- Perform due diligence such as background checks, independence verifications, and business validations for contingent workers.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records for reporting, compliance audits, and analytics within shared documentation systems.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements, including updating Standard Operating Procedures and knowledge articles.
- Lead or support change management efforts regarding contingent labour processes and communicate updates to all relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with multiple internal teams including Procurement, HR, ITS, and the Offshore team to ensure alignment and service excellence.
- Provide timely responses and assistance to inquiries received via functional mailboxes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Three to five years of experience in case management or related roles, especially in staffing, contract labour, or contingent workforce environments is preferred.
- Bilingual capabilities in English and French are considered an asset, with superior communication skills in both languages.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships including senior leaders, contractors, and external service providers.
- Exceptional detail orientation with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality service efficiently.
- Proactive approach toward process and operational improvements using impact analysis.
- Proficiency in multiple technologies and willingness to leverage tools for process optimization.
- Experience with vendor management systems such as Flextrack or Beeline, Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, and ServiceNow is advantageous.
- Post-secondary education: college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline.
Work Arrangement
This role supports flexible location arrangements anywhere in Canada, with an expectation of virtual work primarily and occasional in-office presence (1-2 days monthly) for company meetings.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 to $82,000 CAD annually, with eligibility for performance bonuses. Salary offers consider individual qualifications, location, and experience. A comprehensive benefits package complements this role.
