Consulting Specialist - Fully Remote

About the Role

Mercor is a company that connects top-tier creative and technical experts with major AI research institutions. This role is a contract position for a Management Consulting Expert, offering compensation between $150 and $220 per hour, with fully remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and task-specific grading criteria for consulting deliverables such as market research analyses, strategic recommendations, and financial modeling.
• Evaluate both AI-generated and human-produced work samples by scoring them against these criteria, providing thorough written explanations for each score given.
• Use consistent, evidence-based judgment to ensure scoring is reliable and defensible.
• Incorporate structured feedback from senior reviewers and quickly adjust the evaluations accordingly.
• Operate independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while contributing to the improvement of AI model performance.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in management consulting.
• Experience with leading strategy or management consulting firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or similarly prestigious firms.
• Strong expertise in structured problem solving, market sizing, financial modeling, and crafting business cases.
• Outstanding written communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and consistency in work.

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement in AI training, evaluation, or projects involving human-data interactions.
