Role Overview
The Consultant position, located in Adelaide, South Australia, offers a hybrid work arrangement combining office presence and remote work flexibility. This role involves working closely with clients in the water and environmental sectors to analyze complex challenges, identify potential opportunities, and develop actionable strategies. Day-to-day activities include project coordination, task management, consulting deliverables production, and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project setup, planning, and execution through task coordination and delivering client-centered solutions.
- Generate comprehensive consulting outputs such as research reports, analyses, business cases, and presentations utilizing digital, analytical, and AI-driven tools to enhance effectiveness and insights.
- Collaborate with project leads, senior consultants, and directors to ensure excellent client service and contribute to organizational growth.
- Engage in proposal development, client discussions, and identifying new project opportunities.
- Cultivate professional judgment and autonomy by applying feedback and continuous learning.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture through active participation and collaboration.

Candidate Requirements
- Australian citizen or permanent resident residing in or near Adelaide, South Australia.
- Relevant degree in engineering, business, commerce, finance, economics, environmental science, or related fields.
- Between 1 to 5 years of experience in consulting or related sectors such as water/utilities, infrastructure, research, or government.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience researching trends, risks, and opportunities using both traditional approaches and advanced digital or AI technologies.
- Capability in qualitative and quantitative analyses, program evaluations, maturity assessments, and interpreting diverse data sets.
- Contribution to development of strategies, business cases, reports, briefings, and presentations for clients.
- Ability to translate complex data and research into clear, practical recommendations.
- Proven skills in coordinating project tasks, meetings, timelines, and priorities.
- Support experience in stakeholder engagement activities including workshops and client communication.
- Involvement in proposal creation and business development under mentorship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite and collaborative platforms like Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Mural, Power BI, and project management tools.
- Responsible and critical use of digital, generative AI, and automation tools to enhance research, drafting, quality assurance, and workflow.
- Familiarity with GIS, spatial data, and analytical tools such as Python or R is advantageous but not compulsory.
