Compliance Manager

About the Role

Crypto.com seeks a Compliance Manager to oversee U.S. exchange compliance operations. This dynamic position demands high ownership and proactive initiative in a fast-paced setting without constant supervision. Collaboration with the compliance team covers a broad range of duties including support of BSA/AML programs, coordinating audits, consumer regulatory compliance, policy upkeep, and managing regulatory remediation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Compliance Program with focus on Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance, including policy creation, procedure upkeep, and ongoing surveillance.
• Participate in audits and evaluations related to AML compliance, working closely with internal parties to resolve identified issues.
• Assist in planning and managing regulatory remediation projects, defining scopes, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to progress remediation and report status to all stakeholders.
• Prepare documentation for working groups, committees, project tracking dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
• Ensure customers receive clear and prompt communication during Request for Information (RFI) procedures.
• Conduct due diligence investigations and compliance assessments when required.
• Support adherence to consumer regulations such as Regulation E (chargebacks, notices, prepaid & credit card compliance) and UDAAP.
• Manage and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and business evolution.
• Identify process inefficiencies and promote improvements throughout the compliance function.
• Execute special projects as assigned.
• Engage with regulators and assist with regulatory relationship management as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance within financial services, fintech, or banking sectors.
• Solid knowledge of BSA/AML frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with consumer compliance laws, including Reg E and UDAAP.
• Proven record in supporting regulatory audits, handling remediation projects, and coordinating multi-team compliance activities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to juggle multiple priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Experience in preparing materials for working groups, regulatory committees, or submissions.
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and taking initiative independently.
• Preferred experience in fintech or cryptocurrency industries.
• Consumer compliance expertise with prepaid and credit card regulations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with banking regulatory bodies and examination processes is a plus.
