Role Overview
This position as Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. The incumbent will be accountable for cultivating and maintaining OceanBase's developer and user communities via both virtual and in-person interactions. Daily responsibilities involve strategizing, organizing, and implementing community events and programs, overseeing forums and social media channels, and addressing queries from community members. The role entails collaboration with product, marketing, and developer relations teams to produce content, disseminate product updates, and collect community feedback. Additional duties include monitoring community engagement metrics, identifying opportunities for expansion, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in community management, developer relations, or similar fields demonstrating proficiency in managing online forums and social platforms.
- Proven track record in planning and promoting events such as meetups, workshops, hackathons, or conferences.
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, capable of crafting clear and engaging content for community audiences.
- Familiar with database technologies, cloud services, or developer tools, with a functional understanding of technical concepts.
- Strong interpersonal aptitude with a collaborative approach, skilled in developing relationships across diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional regional languages is advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site in Singapore and occasionally participate in events beyond standard working hours.
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical expertise.
