Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Public Relations & Communications, the Communications Specialist will join the global communications team located primarily in the Berlin or London offices. This role involves hands-on assistance in executing internal and external communications strategies, as well as managing corporate responsibility initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support media relations by developing media lists, distributing press releases, monitoring media coverage, and engaging with journalists
  • Contribute to the creation of external communication materials including press releases, executive speeches, award submissions, blogs, and social media content
  • Draft and publish internal communications such as company announcements, leadership messages, employee updates, and intranet content
  • Assist in organizing internal events, employee engagement programs, and company-wide communication campaigns
  • Manage corporate responsibility activities including employee volunteering, charitable partnerships, and community engagement events
  • Oversee project timelines and maintain communication calendars to meet delivery deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, People, Legal, and other departments to ensure coherent and timely communications aligned with corporate goals
  • Track communication outcomes and provide reports on internal engagement, media mentions, and participation rates
  • Maintain communication resources, distribution lists, content archives, and stakeholder materials
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for communication projects as required

Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in communications, public relations, employee communications, corporate responsibility, or marketing communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capability to tailor messaging to various audiences
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities allowing multitasking across priorities
  • Experience in drafting content for corporate, employee, or media platforms
  • Involvement in facilitating events, campaigns, or engagement initiatives
  • Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality output
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently but also a strong collaborator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Preferred experience working in global or matrixed organizations
