This position is for a Cleaner at The Arnold Machin in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The hourly rate is £12.91, and the vacancy closes on 10-07-2026. The expected weekly commitment is 8 hours.

What the role involves

You will be responsible for keeping the pub spotless throughout the day so guests experience high standards of cleanliness at all times. The pub operates early mornings through late evenings, so the shift pattern can include mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Key duties

• Keep customer areas, toilets, the bar, kitchen, staff spaces and outdoor areas clean and presentable.
• Carry out daily, weekly and monthly cleaning jobs in line with standard operating procedures.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
• Track stock levels of cleaning materials and inform the manager when supplies need replenishing.
• Report any maintenance concerns or pest-related problems to the manager on duty.
• Greet customers courteously and interact in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take part in induction, job-specific and refresher training, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
