Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cherwell Platform Administrator to manage the operational health, maintenance, and continuous support of a vital Cherwell ITSM application layer. This position, based in Wellington, offers a chance to work within a large, structured corporation ensuring smooth day-to-day platform functioning and alignment with ITSM best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily upkeep, administration, and stability of the Cherwell ITSM application layer.
  • Configure One-Steps, Dashboards, Blueprints, mobile Apps (mApps), and automate scheduled processes.
  • Support services such as Cherwell Message Queue (MQS) and IIS web server components.
  • Triage and resolve incidents spanning application, database, and integrations, collaborating with product owners.
  • Maintain role-based access control, security settings, and audit compliance standards.
  • Continuously monitor platform health, perform fault diagnosis, and generate operational reports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Active Confidential Security Clearance is mandatory for this role.
  • Proficient with the administration, configuration, and upkeep of the Cherwell ITSM platform in a commercial environment.
  • Practical knowledge of Cherwell application services, including MQS and IIS server components.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL-based processes within the Cherwell environment.
  • Experienced in setting up email monitoring, mail listeners, and managing role-based security.
  • Familiar with SQL, Active Directory, REST APIs, and PowerShell.

  • This is a 10-month contract based in Wellington.

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in ICT, is required.
  • The role demands at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
