Job Role Overview

The position is a full-time, on-site role stationed at the Central Control Room (CCR) in Kandahar. The CCR Operator is in charge of overseeing and regulating plant activities including kiln, raw mill, and cement mill operations by maintaining process parameters that ensure stable and efficient performance.

Daily Responsibilities

• Monitor production metrics and operational status from the control room continuously.
• Adjust process controls and settings as necessary to maintain optimal plant function.
• Coordinate communications with field operators to support operational needs.
• Promptly react to any alarms, deviations, or abnormalities to uphold safety and product quality.
• Assist with start-up and shutdown sequences adhering to established procedures.
• Keep accurate records of operational data and any incidents during shifts.
• Report any operational concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel for timely interventions.
• Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and company protocols strictly.
• Maintain effective communication with shift members and management to support teamwork and operational continuity.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of plant operations and process control relevant to kiln, raw mill, and cement mill systems.
• Experience with supervisory roles and operations management for shift-based environments.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance concepts and equipment monitoring techniques.
• Previous experience in cement industry control rooms or similar settings is advantageous.
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• Detail-oriented approach with the capacity to perform in rotating shifts.
• Commitment to workplace safety, environmental standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Good communication skills facilitating collaboration among production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams.
