About the Position
The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is committed to supporting vulnerable children and families by reinforcing safety, strengthening families, and securing permanency through prevention and supportive services. Known as "Compassioneers," team members approach their work with compassion and dedication to building a safer and stronger Arizona community.
This full-time role is based in Tucson, AZ, and offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to child welfare efforts in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to children and families under the guidance of a Case Manager.
- Manage electronic case records, including document preparation and redaction of court-related materials.
- Handle court documents, disclosures, and assemble case packets.
- Supervise parent-child interactions during visits to ensure safety and compliance.
- Attend meetings and client hearings as required.
- Transport clients safely, adhering to child safety seat regulations.
- Deliver general case management and clerical assistance.
- Work outside standard hours when necessary, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Candidate Profile
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, trusting relationships.
- Communicate sensitively and professionally in delicate situations.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in administrative and clerical tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, digital calendars, video conferencing tools, and mobile devices for documentation and coordination.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED credential.
- Valid driver’s license coupled with a clean 39-month driving history.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Clear work and background history, including Central Registry and Public Record reviews.
Note: Driving is an integral part of this role for conducting state business; thus, compliance with driver’s license regulations is mandatory.

Additional Information
After four years of dedicated service, employees become eligible for promotion to DCS Specialist Trainee, with increased pay at $21.70 per hour.
