About The Role & Team

The Business Operations Associate will join the Asset Management Team responsible for managing the disposition and acquisition processes of domestic theme parks and resorts assets. This involves ensuring proper approvals and financial records are maintained while coordinating with various internal divisions such as Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Disney ABC Television Group, and more. The role emphasizes adherence to safety, internal controls, and company policies governing property management.

This position operates in a fast-paced environment managing receiving, sorting, tracking, and shipping of assets across Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. The associate will gain experience performing diverse roles such as operational support, forklift operation, inventory control, vendor coordination, guest services, and event operations. The focus is on efficient handling of hundreds of assets daily with strict compliance to controls.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Lake Buena Vista, FL reporting directly to the Business Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail, receiving, and asset management functions supporting liquidation, recycling, and sales channels.
• Receive, verify, stage, sort, move, and prepare assets for sale, recycling, or other authorized disposal methods.
• Organize inventory and assets according to guidelines, operational needs, and sales priorities.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
• Price merchandise and prepare items for retail as instructed.
• Accurately document assets with photos, measurements, locations, and related records.
• Assist with audits, physical inventory verification, and updating records in collaboration with leadership and partners.
• Contribute to attraction refurbishments, Heritage Program setups, and other operational initiatives.
• Provide flexible operational support across functions based on team staffing, workload, and schedules.
• Follow safety and disposal protocols to promote sustainability and reduce landfill waste.
• Adapt to perform assigned tasks according to shifting business priorities during shifts.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while safely handling company assets and operating equipment.

• Experience or willingness to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in warehouse, retail, logistics, inventory control, or asset management operations.
• Proficient operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Understanding of inventory tracking, audit processes, and documentation standards.
• Experience supporting projects and collaborating in cross-team environments.
• Familiarity with recycling, liquidation, sustainability, or asset disposition procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities effectively.
• Bilingual abilities especially in Spanish or other languages to facilitate communication with diverse teams and vendors.
