About the Role
The position of Business Operations Associate involves working directly alongside the CEO and founder to gain firsthand experience in managing company operations. This apprenticeship-style role is designed to immerse you in strategic decision-making, project ownership, and operational leadership, progressing towards independently handling substantial responsibilities and lightening the CEO’s workload over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of key projects, providing transparent weekly status updates highlighting progress, obstacles, and next steps to ensure projects are never neglected.
- Develop judgment and decision-making skills by closely observing the CEO's approach and eventually acting on their behalf in management decisions and tradeoffs.
- Manage the company's operational rhythm by organizing and facilitating monthly all-hands and leadership meetings to maintain organizational focus and follow-through.
- Gradually assume full responsibility for tasks to free the CEO’s time, evolving into a trusted thought partner who independently executes initiatives.
90-Day Onboarding Plan
- Month One: Participate in all CEO meetings and immerse into the company’s operations, spending one week each embedded within different departments to understand their functions.
- Month Two: Begin taking ownership of select projects, providing weekly progress reports, and participating in leadership and all-hands meetings.
- Month Three: Fully manage projects daily, drive them forward, represent the CEO when needed, and organize workflow effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent emotional intelligence, with the ability to read people and situations and handle sensitive dynamics maturely.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of articulating ideas clearly and fostering strong workplace relationships.
- A persistent and consistent work ethic, driven to perform without constant supervision.
- High cognitive agility, quickly processing information and converting it into action.
- Strong autonomous decision-making skills, comfortable making and standing behind independent choices.
- Fast learning capability, receptive to feedback and continuously improving.
Who Should Avoid This Role
