Overview

Join HUK-COBURG Versicherungsgruppe as a Business Intelligence Data Engineer based in Coburg, Bavaria. This role involves developing and enhancing analytical information systems that support business departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement departmental requirements for analytical information systems including analysis, selection, design, realization, implementation, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, administration, and second-level support.
• Advance existing analytical data systems through continuous improvement efforts.
• Support the analysis of business processes and their technical representation within monitoring components for analytical systems.
• Assist in the creation of training materials to support users and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Completed university degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field of study.
• Strong programming skills with preference for Java, Python, or Spark alongside proficiency in SQL.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructures and services, especially AWS and Databricks.
• Familiarity with modern data architectures such as Lakehouse and event-driven models as well as traditional ETL processes.
• Knowledge of event streaming technologies like Kafka is considered advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills complemented by the ability to persuade and assert influence.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
