- Perform cold calling and email campaigns targeting decision-makers at major accounting firms across North America, with occasional follow-ups to conference and webinar participants.
- Attend trade shows and conventions both in-person and virtually as required.
- Qualify sales opportunities effectively and manage your sales pipeline, progressing prospects through lead, discovery, and demo stages while meticulously logging all activities in Salesforce and other engagement platforms.
- Maintain an active LinkedIn presence by promoting marketing materials and networking with industry stakeholders.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs related to meetings booked, demos arranged, and new pipeline generation.
Onboarding and Development
- Receive comprehensive, hands-on training to quickly understand Blue J’s product value and marketplace.
- Shadow demonstrations regularly and engage in discovery sessions with team leaders to deepen product knowledge.
- Learn proven cold-calling and emailing techniques specific to top accounting firms.
Candidate Profile
- Trusted advisor mindset with ability to build strong customer and colleague relationships; previous technology sales experience or transferable skills from other sectors preferred.
- Resilient with a growth mindset; handles rejection as an opportunity to learn.
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated, consistently pushing for performance and results.
- Business savvy and comfortable discussing product differentiators and value with senior decision makers.
- Curious and committed to continuous learning, open to testing new sales approaches.
- Collaborative team player who values empathy and prioritizes team success alongside individual competition.
- Adaptable in a fast-evolving startup environment; embraces change positively.
- Accountable with the ability to dive deep into data and meet deadlines independently.
- Customer-focused with a strong understanding of product value and market positioning.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a rapidly growing company’s success.
- Familiar with leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and stay current with industry advancements.
Work Conditions and Location
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario, requiring presence in the office at least three days per week. Occasional travel for conferences is expected. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and live within reasonable commuting distance to the office.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $60,000 CAD with on-target earnings of $90,000 CAD, plus stock options.
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and capabilities; higher range for exceptional candidates demonstrating autonomy and impact.
- Comprehensive benefits package supporting work-life balance and family health.
- Career growth potential, including promotion to Account Executive roles after consistent performance.
- A collaborative and mission-driven team culture valuing diversity, inclusivity, and personal development.
