Role Summary
We seek a dedicated Building Services Operative who aligns with our brand ethos and is eager to contribute hands-on to maintaining high standards across the building. The role involves multitasking across maintenance, safety, and customer interaction duties to ensure a well-functioning and appealing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on tasks including cleaning, painting, and light bulb replacements using manual and power tools to maintain building appearance.
- Undertake minor repairs on property features such as doors and furniture, adopting a proactive maintenance approach.
- Identify and promptly address health and safety issues like slippery walkways, unsecured balcony furniture, or fire hazards.
- Manage waste disposal tasks including bin maintenance, jet washing common areas, clearing chute blockages, and ensuring bin storage cleanliness.
- Conduct scheduled building inspections on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases as guided by the Resident Experience Manager.
- Support the maintenance of health and safety protocols by executing inspections and compiling comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate effectively with residents, guests, contractors, and local officials to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Participate in team meetings and safety briefings to stay updated and promote workplace safety.
- Utilize digital systems for reporting and documentation purposes, supported by full training.
- Adhere strictly to safety measures including personal protective equipment, risk assessment procedures, and company policies to safeguard self, colleagues, and residents.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in delivering outstanding customer service, preferably within residential environments.
- Strong communication skills presented clearly and professionally.
- Self-driven with keen attention to detail.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficient with technology including tablets and Microsoft Office, with strong report-writing capabilities.
- Physically capable of handling heavy loads, supported by specialized equipment.
- Knowledgeable and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Reliable in punctuality and adhering to schedules, with flexibility for occasional weekend shifts and planned rosters provided in advance.
