Job Overview
We invite you to become a Batcher at Heidelberg Materials in Dalby, where you will enjoy competitive remuneration, overtime pay, and a collaborative work environment. This role offers a dynamic schedule involving batching operations, yard maintenance, and customer engagement to ensure delivery of premium-quality concrete.
Key Details
- Location: Dalby, Queensland
- Hourly pay ranges from $35.03 to $37.90 depending on experience
- Overtime compensated at 1.5 times the standard rate after 8 hours, and double pay beyond 10 hours
- Average work week ranges from 45 to 55 hours, Monday to Friday, plus occasional Saturdays
- Includes a comprehensive 10-day training for new hires
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee batching operations as the lead batcher
- Operate the front-end loader; prior experience preferred
- Conduct inventory stock takes regularly
- Perform pre-start equipment and site checks
- Carry out general yard tasks and maintain site cleanliness
- Manage staff scheduling and task delegation
- Assist with procurement and purchasing procedures
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards
Candidate Profile
- Hold or be prepared to acquire a Construction White Card
- Competent computer literacy; familiarity with SAP or batching systems is advantageous but not mandatory
- Experience operating external machinery or heavy vehicles is a plus
- Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills
- Adaptability to changes and adherence to operational guidelines
- A safety-oriented mindset with a dedication to maintaining truck cleanliness and presentation
