Bakery Associate

Position Overview

Joining as a Bakery Associate with Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to build and enhance your retail expertise. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core principles, keep the bakery area organized, and support merchandise stocking and sales.

Key Duties

• Maintain the quality and attractive appearance of bakery items, including breads, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department well-stocked and business-ready at all times.
• Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and signage of bakery merchandise.
• Follow all policies concerning cold chain integrity, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling standards, product rotation, and sell-by and expiration dates.
• Abide by food safety guidelines and consistently execute sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Execute correct procedures for ordering, clearance, adjustments on pricing, and labeling.
• Prepare bakery products accurately by following thawing and baking instructions to maintain high quality and look.
• Secure all product displays safely and appropriately.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.

Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
