About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to hone your retail and customer service skills. This position involves delivering exceptional customer interactions while upholding Walmart's core values and maintaining the bakery department's high standards.
Key Duties
- Maintain the quality and appealing presentation of bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery area is consistently stocked and business-ready.
- Accurately price and label all products within the department.
- Comply with cold chain management guidelines, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and expiration control practices.
- Follow proper food safety protocols along with regular sanitation and cleaning routines.
- Manage ordering, clearance pricing, markdowns, labeling, and signage according to policy.
- Follow baking and thawing procedures precisely to maintain product quality and appearance.
- Secure all displays safely and correctly.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
