About the Role

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise within the retail sector. In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintain and organize the bakery section, and assist with merchandising and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality standards and attractive presentation of bakery products, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for opening and ongoing business operations.
• Ensure all bakery items are clearly labeled, signed, and correctly priced.
• Comply rigorously with cold chain requirements, including thermometer calibration, temperature tracking, food handling protocols, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Uphold food safety standards through proper sanitation and regular cleaning tasks.
• Follow procedures for ordering, clearance sales, pricing adjustments, and correct labeling.
• Prepare bakery products by accurately adhering to thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality and visual appeal.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and appropriately to prevent hazards.

Compensation

The position begins at a minimum hourly wage of $18.70.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
