About Jovie and the Role

This role is ideal for those with previous childcare experience—including babysitters, daycare workers, nannies, church nursery volunteers, retired teachers, or teaching professionals—seeking part-time or full-time work in a smaller, adaptable environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home child care without the responsibility of transporting children.
- Maintain clean and safe play environments by tidying up activities or meals you facilitate.
- Care for children ranging from infants to toddlers, with a particular focus on those under 2 years old.
- Engage children through hands-on age-appropriate activities that encourage development and safety.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay between $20 and $25.
- Paid training and supply of a nanny kit containing age-suitable activities and games.

Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience with children, whether paid or voluntary, is required, with mandatory experience caring for infants.
- Reliable transportation and availability to travel to multiple homes in the area.
- Availability for at least 4 days a week, working shifts of 6 to 8 hours between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude toward families and supervisors.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Work environment is dynamic, child-focused, and involves some cleanup of activities.
- Time outdoors engaging in active play is expected when weather permits.
- Physical activities include regular lifting (up to 35 pounds), bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and the ability to frequently move from floor level positions.
- Responsiveness and calm, effective reactions to emergency situations are necessary.
