Back End Necker Mechanic

Overview

This role is crucial in ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of high-speed can-making machinery. The mechanic's efforts support the manufacture of premium metal packaging for globally recognized brands.

Core Duties

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance as well as address breakdowns on Back End and LSM Necker machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and ongoing monitoring of plant operations and production equipment.
• Assist in equipment rebuilds, modifications involving height and diameter adjustments, and mechanical improvements.
• Help with installation processes, operational trials, and commissioning of newly acquired machines.
• Accurately complete maintenance work orders via the Apriso system within designated timelines.
• Oversee the refurbishment of unit spare parts and maintain the spare parts inventory efficiently.
• Deliver training and technical guidance to colleagues while providing shift coverage when necessary.
• Operate forklift trucks and carry out machining duties such as turning, milling, and grinding.
