Position Overview
Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance division, a prominent leader in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising, delivers comprehensive investment banking solutions. Their service portfolio includes equity and debt financing, M&A advisory, and private investment services for corporations and institutions worldwide. Corporate Finance is structured into global products and regional client teams with geographic and sector specialization. The Investment Banking & Capital Markets division seeks an Associate for their IB Coverage team focusing on MENA region clients. Ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative, integrity, strong communication skills, dedication, and teamwork capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist broader teams in managing coverage activities for principal MENA region clients.
- Coordinate and support deal origination and execution involving M&A, Leveraged Finance, and Equity Capital Markets transactions for MENA clientele.
- Conduct comprehensive sector and company research, quantitative and credit analysis, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Engage proactively with clients, external advisors, and senior bankers during origination and transaction execution phases.
- Leverage regional market insights to develop client-facing materials and aid Sector and Product bankers in identifying opportunities.
- Contribute to mentoring and developing junior team members.
Required Experience and Skills
- Prior hands-on experience in M&A and Corporate Finance advisory across capital market product lines.
- Demonstrated ability to execute and structure complex deals in M&A, Leveraged Finance, and ECM.
- Strong analytical mindset paired with innovative problem-solving skills.
- High initiative, proactivity, and drive to accomplish goals effectively.
- Proven organizational capabilities to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to influence senior, cross-functional teams across regions.
- Ability to navigate and operate efficiently within a large matrix organizational structure.
