Associate / Associate Director - Fire Safety Engineering

About the Opportunity

Urban Change Group invites experienced fire safety engineers to join their dynamic and growing multidisciplinary consultancy. This permanent role offers a chance to apply and expand your expertise in fire safety within construction and refurbishment projects, contributing to a resilient and sustainable built environment primarily across the UK.

You will be joining a start-up environment, working closely with the founding directors to drive business growth and client relationships. Although this position is home based, regular travel to client meetings, project sites, and team gatherings is expected.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality fire safety consulting services and projects across new developments and existing buildings.
• Provide expert design consultancy and construction advisory services focusing on fire safety engineering.
• Engage actively in the strategic expansion of the business and build enduring client partnerships aligned with organizational values.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to ensure service excellence and project success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Exceptional technical knowledge in fire safety engineering and risk management.
• Strong project management abilities with proven leadership in delivering complex fire safety projects.
• Thorough understanding of UK fire safety regulations, standards, and legislation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction products and materials related to fire safety.
• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
• Master’s degree level education in an appropriate discipline.
• Professional qualifications or progress towards chartered status (e.g., CEng).
• Eligibility to work in the UK requiring British or European citizenship and a valid full driving license.
