Role Summary
The Associate Analyst role emphasizes maintaining accurate and streamlined accounts payable operations. The candidate will be responsible for invoice processing, reconciliations, and ensuring financial control compliance to support timely and error-free financial closures. The position encourages proactive problem-solving and ongoing process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review, validate, and post both purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices for third parties and inter-company transactions with a focus on efficiency.
- Manage Goods in Transit (GIT) and accrual entries effectively during period-end book closings.
- Conduct vendor account reconciliations, resolve accounting discrepancies, and secure required approvals.
- Analyze outstanding vendor balances, scrutinize debit balances, and identify exceptions in open purchase orders.
- Generate, evaluate, and clear Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reports while addressing Level 2 support queries from suppliers and internal teams.
- Periodically review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and propose amendments after coordinating with stakeholders.
- Ensure timely maintenance and submission of SOX-related documentation for compliance.
- Engage in business partner collaborations focused on standardization, continuous improvement, and other strategic initiatives.
- Provide prompt responses to queries from local business units.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or finance-related role.
- Proficiency in SAP financial systems.
- Strong understanding of taxation principles relevant to accounts payable.
- Excellent collaboration and communication capabilities.
- Experience in monthly General Ledger (GL) analysis and review is preferred.
