Role Overview and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Brand Manager, you will play an integral role in helping the company fulfill its statutory and financial reporting obligations while maintaining strict controls. You will collaborate on developing and executing integrated marketing strategies aimed at business growth. Key duties include:
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of marketing campaigns supporting brand strategies, including above-the-line advertising.
- Assess campaign outcomes and return on investment to optimize marketing efforts.
- Assist in generating brand-specific public relations content.
- Manage tactical brand promotions and partnerships with an emphasis on off-trade channels, overseeing the process from inception to completion.
- Support senior brand management with monitoring brand intellectual property and competitor activity.
- Coordinate and implement off-trade marketing support such as buyer meetings, in-store activations, product sampling, and online advertising.
- Help promote innovative direct-to-consumer sales platforms like Amazon.
- Deliver presentations to customers to enhance engagement and expand brand distribution.
- Work alongside on-trade teams where relevant to ensure well-coordinated dual-channel campaigns and promotions.
- Facilitate communication between marketing and production or packaging teams during new product development stages.
- Support consumer research to evaluate brand awareness and public perception.
- Analyze market, shopper, and consumer data (including Kantar, Circana/IRI, and EPOS sources) to uncover opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Track brand performance metrics such as ROS, value sales, and volume sales to guide growth and profitability recommendations.
- Understand off-trade shopper behavior and use these insights in crafting activation proposals.
- Collaborate with communications teams to celebrate internal and external brand achievements and milestones.
- Engage extensively with internal marketing and sales teams as well as external advertising agencies and key customers.
- Conduct regular analyses and reports on campaigns, activations, and marketing investments.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively.
Candidate Profile
- Highly organized and methodical, capable of assisting in the development and execution of marketing activations.
- A collaborative team member with strong interpersonal skills who listens thoughtfully and fosters productive relationships within the team and wider company.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to craft compelling narratives and demonstrate personal initiative.
- Experienced in marketing with knowledge spanning both traditional and digital channels.
- Adept at juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous FMCG industry experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing and brand plans.
- Strong passion for the drinks sector.
- Exceptional attention to detail and visual presentation skills.
