Area Manager

Role summary

This position is for Area Managers across all districts of Maharashtra. There are 36 openings, and the role is based on a work-from-home model with daily travel to different blocks within the assigned district.

Compensation

The role offers a fixed salary of up to Rs. 40,000 per month. Compensation can be higher for the right candidate.

About the organisation

Yuva Parivartan is a project of Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA), an organisation founded in 1928 by Shri B G Kher, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The initiative was formally launched by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam and works to give school dropouts another chance through short vocational training and placement support through more than 100 livelihood development centres across several Indian states.

What this role involves

• Lead and supervise a district-level team of at least 5 to 6 community mobilizers.
• Support the team in creating community awareness through tools such as posters, banners, pamphlets, and motivational videos.
• Help the team connect with influential local stakeholders, including sarpanchs, teachers, caste leaders, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers, to strengthen community outreach.
• Encourage the team to engage communities in skill-building efforts that can improve income opportunities through new initiatives.
• Coordinate training activities on topics based on local needs, such as agriculture, dairy, poultry, goat rearing, masonry, carpentry, house painting, and plumbing.
• Work with the training-of-trainers support provided by the organisation.
• Ensure that eligible community members receive training certificates.

What the organisation is looking for

• A graduate candidate with prior experience in team building and community mobilisation.
• Preference will be given to applicants with sales experience in FMCG, social sector, insurance, or agro-finance.
• Applicants should have their own bike and an Android mobile phone.
• Strong communication abilities are required.
• The candidate must be comfortable working exclusively in field-based conditions.
• A proactive and self-driven attitude is important for success in this role.
