Role Overview

The Architecture Advisor collaborates closely with SAP's sales teams and partners to define account strategies. This role serves as the bridge between customer business objectives and SAP solutions by designing future-state business and solution architectures and transformation roadmaps to facilitate enterprise-level adoption of cloud-based architectures. The advisor acts as a trusted partner guiding customers to achieve their desired SAP enterprise architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing customer SAP solutions and identify opportunities to accelerate adoption, consumption, and footprint growth.
• Participate actively in sales processes throughout the customer value journey as a core SAP account team member.
• Lead business and IT architecture initiatives ensuring alignment across SAP, customers, and partners.
• Serve as the communication link between customers and SAP product development leaders.
• Develop SAP architecture vision tailored to customer needs, fostering demand through thought leadership.
• Gain deep understanding of customer business processes and models with an industry-focused architecture perspective.
• Map business capabilities to solution designs ensuring IT feasibility and alignment with SAP architectures.
• Formulate customer cloud and hybrid cloud transformation roadmaps focusing on business applications and technology platforms.
• Maintain and govern living roadmaps adapting to evolving customer requirements and SAP solution offerings.
• Promote solution expansion by articulating value and integration benefits across the SAP portfolio.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience within software or IT organizations as an IT or Enterprise Architecture Advisor, or related roles including solution management, sales, consulting, or business development, with proven successful outcomes.
• Established reputation as a trusted advisor either inside SAP or in the marketplace.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing models such as SaaS, PaaS, hosted services, and cloud-based business networks.
• Well-developed professional networks to drive sales pipeline and revenue growth.
• Demonstrated achievements in relevant industry domains as applicable.
• Strong leadership and project management expertise.
• Proven ability to deliver tangible benefits through enterprise architecture engagements.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
• Educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with preference for MBA or equivalent advanced degrees.
• Certifications such as TOGAF or SAPIEA-10 and experience using enterprise architecture management (EAM) tools are considered additional merits.
