Architect

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architect to join our team in Alkhomra, Jeddah. Candidates of any nationality may apply, with preference given to Saudi nationals. Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in architectural design and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary architectural concepts and produce final drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation software.
• Incorporate factors such as aesthetics, safety, functionality, and cost-efficiency into building designs, considering client needs thoroughly.
• Participate in all stages of building projects from initial client consultations through the construction phase.
• Conduct pre-design tasks including feasibility studies, site selection, and defining design specifications.
• Prepare material take-off (MTO) and bill of quantities (BOQ).
• Create plumbing and electrical layouts as part of the architectural design process.
• Deliver manual perspective rendering presentations utilizing 3D modeling techniques.
• Organize coordination meetings with other trades involved in the design process to ensure alignment.
• Draft correspondence and technical memoranda related to project progress and requirements.
• Perform site inspections during construction to oversee progress and coordinate with other trades to prevent technical conflicts.
• Offer interior and landscape design services when necessary.
• Implement minor design modifications as required.
• Assist in detailed design tasks and ensure interdisciplinary coordination particularly related to civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and fire fighting systems, including on-site support.
• Manage distribution and documentation of drawings and technical documents to ensure efficient communication among clients and the design team.
• Research building requirements, prepare design proposals including specifications, material choices, cost estimates, and timelines for client approval.
• Create scale drawings and contractual documents for contractors and oversee construction compliance through periodic site visits.
• Lead drawing preparation teams and monitor production of specifications.
• Analyze architectural reports, topographical data, AutoCAD drawings, and other project documentation to inform design decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D designing and layout development.
• Strong capability to visually communicate architectural concepts to clients effectively.
• Artistic skill and drawing ability to support conceptualization and spatial understanding are highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint for presentations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and GIS software is advantageous.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and SketchUp for visual presentations is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage multiple project tasks.
