Application Support Resident Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Application Support professional with over five years of experience managing and troubleshooting mission-critical business applications. The successful candidate will have a sharp analytical approach to problem-solving, excel at diagnosing problems by reviewing logs, and maintain composure while effectively communicating with various stakeholders during critical incidents.

Technical Responsibilities

This role requires practical knowledge and experience in Windows Server management, configuring and troubleshooting IIS, working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or preferably PostgreSQL, as well as expertise in diagnosing and resolving API-related issues using tools like Postman. Fundamental skills in scripting with PowerShell are also necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in application support.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems with strong analytical thinking.
• Competence in analyzing logs to determine root causes of software issues.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations calmly and provide clear communication to customers and team members.
• Strong independent working capability.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Expertise configuring and troubleshooting Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Experience analyzing IIS and application-specific logs for issue diagnosis.
• In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems, especially MS SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with API troubleshooting and testing techniques using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Basic scripting skills in PowerShell for automation and support tasks.
