Application Support Engineer

Job Overview

The Application Support Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily operations involving system logging, data handling, systems, and server maintenance to prevent operational failures. The role involves prompt troubleshooting, making requested data or system adjustments, and recommending system improvements to prevent recurring issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor logs, data, systems, and servers daily to proactively avoid operational disruptions.
• Perform rapid and precise troubleshooting and repair of system or data issues as they arise.
• Execute data queries and modifications as requested by various departments.
• Propose system enhancements based on previously encountered issues.
• Communicate effectively with users and provide detailed reports to stakeholders once incidents are controlled.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) evaluations when involving third-party integrations.
• Implement simple feature developments or bug fixes as needed.
• Compile incident reports summarizing historical system issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and version control using git.
• Expertise in programming languages Golang and Node.js.
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and storage solutions including MongoDB and Redis.
• Understanding of software development best practices like Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), unit testing, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor's degree (S1) or higher.
