API Tester

Job Overview

Tesslogs IT Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Test Analyst proficient in API testing to join a client team located in Brisbane, Queensland. This role requires immediate availability and significant experience in API test design and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and perform test cases for a variety of API technologies including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL services.
• Conduct various testing methodologies such as functional, integration, regression, and negative testing on API systems.
• Verify authentication and authorization processes and validate complete API workflows end-to-end.
• Execute SQL queries to carry out backend and database verifications supporting API validations.
• Resolve issues related to API integration and data accuracy.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile framework alongside cross-disciplinary teams.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for the management of test cases, defect tracking, and reporting processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience with API testing methodologies.
• Technical comfort with REST, SOAP, and GraphQL protocols.
• Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI specifications and HTTP/HTTPS communication protocols.
• Proficient in handling SQL and validating data at the database level.
• Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and CSW applications.
• Experience using Azure DevOps in testing and project management.
• Skilled in functional, integration, regression, and authentication/authorization testing.
• Domain experience in insurance or assistance sectors is preferred.
• Experience in Agile project environments.

Preferred Attributes

• At least five years of specialized API testing experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Prior work with Microsoft Dynamics CRM applications.
• Effective communication skills with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement.
