Overview
JCX Solutions is seeking an experienced QA engineer specializing in API automation using AI technologies. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing automated tests for web applications, emphasizing API and backend systems validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and sustain automated test scripts for APIs and backend services utilizing tools like Postman, REST Assured, and SoapUI.
- Conduct comprehensive API testing including functional, regression, and integration tests.
- Develop and support automation testing frameworks.
- Analyze system requirements to formulate detailed test scenarios, cases, and data.
- Validate API responses for correctness, checking JSON/XML formats and adherence to HTTP protocols.
- Incorporate AI-powered testing techniques to enhance test coverage, enable script self-healing, and improve defect discovery and analysis.
- Report, track, and manage defects through to resolution employing tools such as JIRA.
- Collaborate closely with development, product management, and QA teams to understand project requirements.
- Execute automated test suites integrated within CI/CD pipelines.
- Produce and evaluate reports from automation test runs.
- Assist with release and production verification processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Proficiency in API testing tools including Postman, REST Assured, and SoapUI.
- Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and data interchange formats like JSON and XML.
- Experience developing and running automation frameworks.
- Fundamental programming or scripting abilities in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Competence in SQL and database verification procedures.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Information Technology, Electronics and Computer Engineering, or related fields such as B.Tech, B.E., or B.Sc in Computer Science and Technology or Information Technology.
Location
This position is based onsite at Airoli, Mumbai.
Salary
The annual salary range offered is between 300000 and 600000 INR.
