Role Overview
The Air Traffic Controller - Tower & Approach is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and orderly air traffic control services. This role involves adherence to the privileges granted by the Air Traffic Controller License and compliance with relevant ICAO standards, regulatory mandates, and certification requirements for the designated operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Tower and/or Approach air traffic control services ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Operate air traffic services strictly following ICAO standards, regulations, and prescribed procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards in safety, operational effectiveness, and professional conduct.
- Facilitate the implementation and observance of Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Report any operational incidents, equipment malfunctions, or safety risks through formal communication channels.
- Maintain operational skills and actively engage in continuous enhancement activities.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support overall operational and organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid Air Traffic Controller License with current ratings.
- Holding a valid ATCO Medical Certificate.
- Proficiency in ICAO English Language at Level 4 or higher.
- Completion of ICAO-recognized training programs.
- At least three years of uninterrupted operational experience at a major international air traffic control unit upon passing the Area Proficiency Check (APC).
- Demonstrated competence in managing complex, high-traffic airspace sectors.
- Excellent skills in communication and decisive judgment under pressure.
