Actuary

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical Actuary to assess financial risks and create mathematical models to guide strategic business decisions. This role focuses on analyzing statistical information, evaluating risk exposure, and developing actuarial models applied to pricing, reserving, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analyses related to insurance and financial risks.
• Create predictive models to assist pricing and reserving efforts.
• Prepare detailed actuarial reports with insights and recommendations to optimize risk management and business outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with finance, underwriting, product development, compliance, and senior management teams to support product pricing, capital management, regulatory submissions, and financial sustainability.
• Keep abreast of industry developments, validate actuarial assumptions, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and professional standards.
• Continuously enhance analytical techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative fields.
• Solid foundation in actuarial principles, probability, statistics, financial mathematics, and risk management.
• Understanding of insurance products, financial modeling, reserving and pricing methods, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis and data modeling tools including Excel, SQL, R, Python, SAS, or similar platforms.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to interpret complex datasets and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Competence in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication talents.
• Adherence to high ethical standards, professional integrity, continuous professional development, and top-quality analytical work.
• Ability to function independently and collaboratively within cross-disciplinary teams.
