Welder/Fabricator

About the Role

Turmec is expanding and seeking skilled Metal Fabricators/Welders to join our team. You will contribute to completing both small and large-scale fabrication projects across Ireland, the UK, and international markets. The role involves rotating shifts, including mornings and evenings, delivering top-quality metal products as part of a close-knit manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, and components.
• Carry out fabrication using both Mild and Stainless Steel.
• Operate fabrication machinery efficiently and safely.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing Mild Steel or Stainless Steel fabrications.
• Proficient MIG welding skills meeting high standards.
• Certification such as Safe Pass and Manual Handling are advantageous; Abrasive Wheel training preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in compliance with CE EN1090 standards.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work unsupervised and take initiative as well as collaboratively in a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Successful completion of weld testing upon hiring.
• Possession of own transportation (car) is required for this role.
