Position Overview
Northeast Engineering is looking for a dependable and driven Warehouse Storeperson to become a vital member of our energetic and fast-moving team. This role suits individuals who value precision, organisation, and cooperation, and who are keen to advance into a long-term position within a supportive and expanding company.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle receipt, inspection, and dispatch of engineering parts and materials
- Create delivery dockets and maintain accurate documentation
- Source and supply parts and components efficiently
- Arrange deliveries and assist workshop operations
- Ensure proper storage and systematic organisation of stock and materials
- Accurately allocate stock using serial numbers and barcodes
- Operate forklifts and warehouse machinery safely
- Maintain stock levels and set reorder points
- Participate in routine stocktakes and inventory audits
- Carry out general warehouse tasks ensuring a tidy and safe working environment
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a forklift licence is mandatory
- Prior experience in a warehouse or engineering store environment is preferred
- Strong focus on detail and accuracy
- Capable of working both collaboratively and independently
- Proactive mindset combined with a dedicated work ethic
- Interest in the engineering or industrial sector is an advantage
