Role Overview

The Warehouse Operator will ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming goods and invoices properly, ensure prompt binning, and report discrepancies.
• Pick, package, and dispatch all outbound shipments to Sandvik and Ngezi locations, handle allocations, rotable item movements, and maintain dispatch documentation.
• Maintain accurate real-time inventory records through system updates, conduct variance analysis, and support stock reconciliation and return processes.
• Organize and file warehouse records and processing documents such as service invoices and Docusign receipts systematically.
• Operate forklifts safely for loading/offloading tasks, uphold 5S housekeeping standards, and report equipment defects or incidents to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies diligently; perform equipment pre-use inspections; wear appropriate personal protective equipment; and report hazards or incidents without delay.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Stores Management.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehousing or logistics operations.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation and documentation control.
• Competence in using ERP systems for inventory and warehouse management.
• Forklift operating certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in inventory handling.
• Basic computer proficiency relevant to inventory systems.
