Overview
This leadership role involves overseeing the planning, design, and execution of mechanical engineering tasks in building services and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure top quality client service and participate in business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design phases of mechanical engineering works for building and infrastructure projects.
- Critically review project documentation such as reports, specifications, calculations, and drawings across various project stages.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure compliance and functionality.
- Collaborate with other discipline teams during feasibility studies and design to deliver excellent client outcomes.
- Engage in business development activities aimed at acquiring new clientele.
- Manage and mentor engineering teams to drive project success and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
- Professional registration with the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore is mandatory.
- At least 15 years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience primarily in building services and infrastructure sectors.
- Experience working within a consulting environment and a proven track record handling major development projects.
- Familiarity with local codes, regulations, and authority submission processes.
- Strong organizational, planning, and supervisory capabilities.
- Proficiency or knowledge in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit is considered beneficial.
