Utility Dishwasher

Job Summary

As a Utility Dishwasher, you will be responsible for managing the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchenware and maintain the overall hygiene of the facility. This role involves collecting used dishes and utensils, efficiently operating dishwashing equipment, hand washing delicate items, and ensuring kitchen supplies are properly stocked. You will also be performing garbage disposal and cleaning tasks, both inside and outside the kitchen. This position requires availability for shift work, including occasional evenings and weekends, contributing to a seamless dining experience for customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Gathering used plates, utensils, and other kitchenware from dining and food preparation areas.
• Loading and unloading dishwashing machines to clean kitchen items.
• Manually washing specific items such as wooden boards, large pots, and fragile china.
• Organizing and storing all cleaned kitchen equipment properly.
• Ensuring sufficient stock of clean dishes and utensils at all times, particularly during busy periods.
• Monitoring cleaning supply levels and informing supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Checking dishwasher machines for proper functioning and reporting any issues immediately.
• Regularly disposing of garbage to maintain cleanliness.
• Sanitizing kitchen surfaces including floors, walls, doors, and handles.
