Company Overview
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., is a new venture by the Tata Group specializing in manufacturing precision semiconductor components. Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage daily production output ensuring quality standards are met.
- Lead the team to meet productivity and quality objectives for IC testing lines.
- Oversee and support shift operations to achieve company targets.
- Drive manufacturing KPIs, dashboards, and quality goals effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support production and maintain yield and efficiency.
- Address production line challenges using problem-solving methodologies like 7 QC tools, SPC, and PFMEA.
- Optimize production line processes to meet quality and efficiency targets.
- Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) to production transition.
- Organize manpower deployment across shifts efficiently.
- Implement industry best practices, Kaizens, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize statistical methods to project manufacturing needs and capacities.
- Lead test operations including production planning and testing at wafer and final stages using ATE systems, test handlers, and probers.
- Build and lead cohesive teams effectively.
- Handle WIP management, capacity planning, cycle time monitoring, training, and cost control.
- Continuously improve process efficiency, equipment utilization, and productivity.
- Ensure wafer and final tests are completed as per schedule with expected quality and cycle times.
- Maintain equipment yield and OEE in cooperation with equipment teams.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as Advantest V93K, T2000, Teradyne (ETS364, ETS88, J750, Ultraflex), and Cohu tester platforms.
- Familiarity with prober operations including TEL-P8, P12, Prexa, Precio, Accretech/TSK, OPUS, and SEMICS probers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience.
- Willingness to work in shifts and in a cleanroom environment.
- Specialized knowledge of equipment such as testers, handlers, and probers is desirable.
