About the Role
The Kerala State Council For Science is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This position involves managing and operating instrumentation used in life sciences within government departments, autonomous bodies, or public sector units.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling and managing scientific instruments related to life sciences.
- Operating and maintaining equipment in advanced biological research laboratories, containment laboratories, or clean pharmaceutical facilities.
- Managing HVAC systems.
- Ensuring proper biomedical waste disposal.
- Conducting decontamination of HEPA filters and laboratory validation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- First-class Engineering degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Bioinformatics, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Minimum five years of relevant work experience within government departments, autonomous bodies, or public sector organizations.
- At least two years of direct experience in operating and maintaining equipment in advanced bio-research or pharmaceutical environments.
- Knowledge of computer applications is considered advantageous.
- Age limit: Maximum 40 years.
